Volunteering at the Avista NAIA World Series was an absolute blast for the CrossFit Rove coaches. I didn’t go because I felt weird serving hot dogs, if you know what I mean. I’m a pig, a cute, mini pig, but I’m still related to big pigs that people eat. Wouldn’t you feel weird serving pork if you were a pig? I thought you would understand. Anyways, the coaches had so much fun serving food and hanging out with all of the people attending the games. Jasmine sang the National Anthem for the opening ceremonies, which was really cool. She got to stand at home plate! I’ve always wanted to stand at home plate. Every year the Lewis-Clark State Athletic Department is looking for volunteers to work at the Series. You should help next year! Maybe I can find a job where I don’t have to serve pork! Maybe they’ll ask me to sing next year…I love to sing!
Have you ever injured yourself trying to “get fit”? I know I have…I was doing sprints on the carpet one day (I get really good hoof traction on carpet) but I forgot to slow down and BAM! Right into the wall. Snout first. If you’re anything like me you don’t enjoy suffering from an injury so my friends at CrossFit Rove coach you to lift weights and do movements with good technique and form. That means more time and energy to play because you won’t be nursing an injury. I like the sounds of that! Pretty sure they need to teach me how to slow down. OMRO!
CrossFit Rove is proud to call the Lewis-Clark Valley “home”.
Scott and Resa, two of my friends and stellar coaches, understand the importance of having a great time while getting sweaty. That’s what I’m talking about! Oink My Rump Off!
